Robots that share the floor.

Fenceless means the cage around an industrial robot comes down, and people can share the space while the machine is working. That holds only when a safety system does: power and force limiting, speed and separation monitoring, or another control a risk assessment actually accepts.

This record follows humanoids, cobots, and mobile robots that public sources describe that way. The counts are rows in this repository, not a live feed from a factory.

What “fenceless” covers

Open the glossary

01

A shared workspace

People and the robot can occupy the same area while the robot is powered. The cell is what becomes fenceless. A sticker on the arm does not do that by itself.

03

Still an application

A cobot, a humanoid, or a mobile robot can need a fence again once a sharp tool, a heavy part, or an unrated motion is added. Listings quote the source. They are not a permit to remove guarding.
